Some time ago, when I had to take care of Oracle Forms, I was annoyed that in Forms you always have to call several procedures for switching on and off. So you have to drop the following lines to show a text field again.
I have been an enthusiastic APEX fan for years. And like every APEX fan, I also have a workspace on APEX. https://apex.oracle.com. Here Oracle offers the possibility to get to know APEX and to host small demo projects. You can switch and manage within your workspace as you like. What Oracle does not offer here, however, is external access to the database / schema with an IDE or SQLPlus. Of course, otherwise Oracle would have to publish the port of the DB listener.
In my current project I use an interactive grid on one page. When you click on a row, i. e. select it, a report is displayed below the grid that displays this data set. The editing of the data set is realized in a modal dialog. If it is closed, the report including the currently selected line in the grid should be updated.
in one of my current Apex projects I have to show a mini calendar and mark certain days there. Unfortunately there is only the option to mark exactly one date in APEX. After a little Google research I came across the following article: http://www.spiceforms.com/blog/highlight-particular-dates-jquery-ui-datepicker
It’s desperate. I moved the trace export for a customer from the client to the server via forms. No problem on my Windows7 computer. The logic is actually quite simple. Create Excel document on the server, delete transfer to the client, delete it on the server and then display it on the client.
